Berlin-based ERK Eckrohrkessel GmbH concludes engineering contracts with plant manufacturers and other engineering companies world-wide, thus laying the groundwork for the transfer of know-how and licences. The contractual partners are entitled to use boilers and furnaces based on ERK Eckrohrkessel GmbH's original design. Furthermore, they may also use ERK's basic design and, if necessary, receive more extensive engineering services. Within the scope of the know-how and licence agreements, the contractual partners are obliged to make the know-how they have gained from completed projects available to ERK. ERK archives and maintains this ever larger pool of expertise and shares it with other contractual partners.
The advantage of this particular type of collaboration is that every licensee can benefit from the specialist knowledge and experience of all of ERK's partners. This ultimately also benefits the operators of ERK energy systems since they have a system which incorporates the accumulated experience and know-how of all of ERK's partners.
The knowledge we have obtained from the design and building of past plants is enhanced by the latest findings from specialist literature and further deepened by insights gained from our joint R&D projects. ERK cooperates with many partners from the industry, universities and other institutions on these R&D projects.
Non-public conferences with ERK's contractual partners are held bi-annually, at which ERK's latest technological innovations and the partners' own experience are presented and discussed. In addition, ERK organises professional seminars for new partners, at which specialist knowledge on the construction of boilers and firing systems is conveyed. These seminars are organised as and when necessary.
